Help support The Fallen & Wounded Soldiers Fund’s new program at the Veterans’ Dormitory

From now through December 15, 2019, the Partnership for the Arts & Humanities will be collecting donations to help furnish the Veterans Dormitory at the Village Arts Factory that will house The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund’s newest program. Since 2006, The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund has been assisting Michigan-based soldiers and their families by helping injured soldiers pay their living expenses and by providing assistance to the families of the fallen.

Your generous contribution will help raise funding for furniture, appliances, supplies and minor construction accommodations in the newly rehabilitated 2,600 sq ft dormitory. Here they will establish an urban retreat and residence for veterans struggling with housing, as well as create a supportive environment for veterans in the Detroit Metro area. The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund will also provide area veterans with access to health professionals, as well as veteran’s service officers and art enrichment programs.

Goal is to raise $15,000 for interior furnishings. Our stretch goal will be another $15,000 for construction accommodations, such as a handicap shower stall, washer & dryer hook-up and realignment of kitchen cabinets for the dishwasher & stove installment.
