On September 29,2015, the Village Arts Factory had 2 special visitors come out to tour our property. Ran & Tom Hennells were 2 of the 3 brothers that once owned our historic property. The William E. Hennells Company had purchased our complex back in 1969 to serve as their main plant for manufacturing air and hydraulic equipment. Their company was responsible for a series of additions and alterations to the complex in the early 1970’s.
It was an exciting privilege to walk our property with both of these men and listen to all of their insights and stories behind the history of our buildings. There were smiles, laughter and loads of reminiscing as we walked all 3 structures and around the property border. Ran currenty resides in Plymouth Township and Tom lives in Brooklyn, both in Michigan. We appreciated both gentlemen sharing their wealth of knowledge with us and also assisting us and Quinn Evans architects with our Historic Structure Report.
