Canton once again honors area service men and service women who have served or who are currently serving in the Armed Forces. Doors open at 6pm (lobby display, cookies and punch). Stage Presentation at 7pm featuring speaker Mr. Michael Harris, President of the Michigan Paralyzed Veterans of America; special recognition of Mr. Tom Houdek, WWII Veteran and POW; the Workmen Elementary Choir directed by Ms. Keri L. Mueller, the Willow Run “Tribute” Rosie the Riveter Troupe and the Harmony Town Chorus. Donations to the VA Ann Arbor Health System will also be accepted. (Suggested items include items for snack packs such as granola bars, portable meal kits and cracker packs; sweat pants, zip up hoodies, short sleeved colored tees in sizes M-5XL and white tees in sizes 2XL and up; large bottles of body wash, shampoo and conditioner) This is a FREE event. Reception 1 hr. Presentation approximately 1 hr.
The Partnership’s brand new Veterans’ Memorial Garden Cut Short will be announced during this special tribute event.
