  • A Community that Believes! - We had an amazing turnout for our clean up day and accomplished more than we could have imagined.
  • Henry Ford Village Industries - The Ford Cherry Hill plant began operations in July 1944 and served at least two purposes, to provide training and rehabilitation for returning was veterans and to supplement work at the Willow Run Bomber plant.
  • World War II Veteran's Dormitory - Situated directly south of the Henry Ford village factory on Ridge Road is the residence hall that housed 18-20 war veterans.
  • The Village Theater at Cherry Hill (owned and operated by Canton Township) is a 400-seat, premiere performing/visual arts and education center offering opportunities for all ages to experience the arts and culture as both participants and patrons.

Partnership for the Arts and Humanities

The Partnership for the Arts and Humanities is a non-profit 501(c)(3) cultural arts organization that encourages the development of cultural arts in our community.  The Partnership was originally created to raise needed funding for the construction of The Village Theater at Cherry Hill.  Since the opening of the theater in 2004, we have contributed over $900,000 to community arts.

The Partnership is committed to expanding the arts in Western Wayne and Eastern Washtenaw counties, especially now with its recent purchase of Henry Ford's Village Industry- Cherry Hill Site. Placed on the National Register of Historical Places as a part of the Cherry Hill Historical District in 2003, this 14 acre property includes a residential WWII veterans dormitory and a 50,000 square foot factory that is built over a portion of the Lower Rouge River.  Our goal is to transform this property into a visual arts center, creating an Arts District for Southeast Michigan in Canton.
